Welcome to the Witton le Wear Parish Council website which has been developed to keep the residents of Witton le Wear informed of important issues within our community.  As well as information about the Parish Council, the website will host information about other groups and activities within the village and provide links to relevant websites.

The Parish Council meets on the 2nd Monday of each month with the exception of August and December, at 6:15 pm in the Community Centre, Witton le Wear.  Council meetings are open to members of the public who are welcome to attend.  If you wish to attend or bring something to the notice of the Councillors please contact the Parish Clerk.

Death of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh 1921 – 2021

It is with deep sadness and regret that I announce, on behalf of Witton le Wear Parish Council, the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh aged 99. Her Majesty and Prince Philip have been married for 73 years and have known each other since they were children.  The Parish Council would like to send their condolences to the queen and the royal family on this deeply sad occasion.
